Millets
मोटा अनाज
Small, hardy grains — ragi, bajra, jowar — that India has eaten for thousands of years.
What it is
Millets are small-seeded grains that grow well with little water. In India they are called मोटा अनाज, the “coarse grains”: ragi (finger millet), bajra (pearl millet) and jowar (sorghum) among them.
At Full Circle
Ragi goes into our sourdough ragi jaggery biscuits, and our water-milled ragi, bajra and jowar flours are sold at Sajni Shop in Palampur (not online yet).
