Oil pressed out of seeds mechanically, without added heat or chemical solvents.
What it is
Cold-pressed oil is squeezed out of seeds by a mechanical press, without added heat or chemical solvents, so more of the seed’s natural colour and aroma stay in the oil.
In Hindi it is called कच्ची घानी, after the traditional oil press (घानी).
